Today is National Loving Day. This celebrates the 1967 Supreme Court decision Loving vs. Virginia. The Court struck down as unconstitutional laws in 16 states that prohibited interracial marriages. ~OC
Loved
Today’s a new day! We did not find God. He was always there. All we had to do was reach out and take his hand. God meets us where we are. We do not have to clean ourselves up before God loves us. No, God loved us before we were even a twinkle in our parents eyes. God does not care about all our imperfections. You see, God only sees the masterpiece he created. I hope that rocks your world. You will never experience true unconditional love until you experience God’s amazing love. ~OC
Activate
Today’s a new day! When you activate your faith, miracles are set in motion. ~OC
The Storm
Today’s a new day! It doesn’t matter if the storm you are facing was started by the hand of the enemy, it still has to pass through the hand of Jesus. ~OC
Welcome Home
Jesus just put these words on my heart.
Sweet Jesus, you were willing to give up your life, so all that believe in you would spend eternity in Paradise. By giving your life, you unlocked the doors of Heaven to all believers. As Jesus prepares your loved one to walk into Paradise, you can hold on to the amazing truths of Jesus. One of those is that our loved one will hear those beautiful words “Well done, my good and faithful servant.” Then I believe Jesus will take the hand of our loved one and show them around Paradise. Then he will whisper in their ear, it’s good to have you home.
In your grief, may the above words bring you peace and comfort. I pray you embrace the truths of our Savior. Let Him wrap his loving arms around you like a warm blanket. ~OC
Let Love Flow
Today’s a new day! I pray the following words will encourage you today.
When anger boils inside you, let love flow out.
When hate squeezes your heart, let love flow out.
When bitterness grips your life, let love flow out.
When faced with disappointment, let love flow out.
When an unkind word is on your lips, let love flow out.
When the world mistreats you, let love flow out.
When your overwhelmed and frustrated, let love flow out.
In every situation, remember to Choose Love. It’s all about love. Let it flow out. ~OC
Lead Us Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit in us should not only encourage us, but It should compel us to be more committed to Jesus and our communities.
Christians who are willing to sacrifice all for Jesus realize community/fellowship is a necessity for all and not a luxury for a few.
We cannot have truly connected communities if we are unwilling to forsake everything for Jesus. Are we ready to make that commitment?
Are we truly willing to reach out to others in time of need? Even when it’s not comfortable. When it forces us out of our neatly constructed lives.
Let’s allow the Holy Spirit to draw us into a place of total surrender to our Savior. A place of surrender, that produces a greater love for Him and a greater need to truly embrace community. To truly serve others. To truly be the Church. ~OC
Stay With Us
As I was waking this morning, God gave me this prayer. I pray it over each of you today and the days to come. ~OC
Today’s a new day! Dear Jesus, make our hearts your home. Your resting place. Let us make room for you. Never leave us Dear Lord. Stay with us always.
Finding Significance
Today’s a new day! Are you looking for significance in your career? Being rich? Being the smartest person in the room? Being famous? Being popular? If your significance is defined in comparing yourself with others, you’ll always be chasing after it. Only to come up empty.
But when Jesus declares you significant, your days of chasing it are over. You’re Significant. Accept it. Embrace it. Live in it. ~OC
Not Mine
Today’s a new day!
God’s Plan-Not Mine
God’s Will-Not Mine
God’s Glory-Not Mine
God’s Word-Not Mine
God’s Timing–Not Mine
