A Gift
Today’s a new day! Life is a wonderful precious gift. Take time today to share a kind word. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you. Do something to help someone else. Be active in making a real difference. Take time to examine your own life. It’s real easy to get caught up in the day to day happenings of life and forget what’s really important. ~OC
The Road
My health journey has taken me down many winding roads. At times the road has been muddy and tough to travel. There have been many hazard signs to navigate. This journey has not been easy and continues to take me down paths, I would not choose to travel. But this journey is really not about me. This is a journey God has placed me on. A journey I embrace daily, because of the lessons learned. The memories made. I did not choose this crazy/beautiful journey, but I am excited to see where it takes me. I encourage you to embrace the journey God has you on. Hope to see you along the way. God Bless. ~OC
Blessed Life
Today’s a new day! A lot of people woke up hungry this morning. A lot of people woke up homeless this morning. A lot of people woke up with no clean drinking water this morning. A lot of people woke up in a hospital bed this morning. A lot of people took their last breath this morning. Never forget how blessed you are this morning. ~OC
My Future
Good morning! Based on my current health status, several people have asked if Laura and I will be doing any speaking engagements or book tours? At this time, I am still planning on speaking if the opportunities present themselves and doing any book related activities. I am not going to allow my current health status stop me from living life and making memories. So, if you or anyone you know is interested in hearing more about my journey, feel free to contact me. I pray everyone has a beautiful and blessed day. ~OC
Be Thankful
Be thankful for the friends who continuously brave the storms with you and pray for those friends that walked away. ~OC
Not My Own
I am not my own, I have been bought with a price. It was a heavy price but it secured my redemption, my salvation, my life….. and my health. When the soldiers drove the nails into the hands of my Savior on a hill in Jerusalem all those years ago, they weren’t just hammering iron into wood, through flesh. They were nailing all my health issues to that piece of wood too. That’s why Jesus did it. ~OC
The Blessed Overcomer

My Weakness. His Strength
Today’s a new day! My weakness makes room for God’s strength. And in times that are tiring and uncertain, when I feel I have nothing left in the tank, He shows up and reminds me that there is indeed nothing I can do… and He offers me His strength… because it is more than enough to carry this weight. ~OC
Not My Methods
While this journey has had some crazy turns, I know there is a method in the madness. Not my methods, but the methods of a God who holds my life in His hands… who knew me from the moment I was conceived in the womb…. who walks besides me everyday. I do not understand everything that’s happening and it’s quite possible I never will…. not while I inhabit this body anyway….. but I know that whatever happens, God is in control and he has promised he will never leave or forsake me. ~OC
