I continue to be saddened that our unity in Christ is less valued than political positions. How have political convictions come to matter more than whole hearted devotion to Jesus? So many identify as a devotee of a political party or leader rather than a follower of Jesus. ~OC

Not a Elephant or Donkey
Good morning everyone! This week, I received an email that basically called into question my faith based on someone’s assumptions about my political views. I have never actually had a conversation with this person about my political views, but I guess they decided I did not show enough support for their candidate. I am basically apolitical. I do not belong to a political party. Before each election, I take the time to educate myself on each of the candidates and issues. Then I vote my conscience. I could care less if you support a elephant or donkey. I would rather know about you, your family and how I can help/pray for you. I have chosen not to respond to the email at this time. I will pray about it and see if it is actually worth my time and effort. Thanks for letting me share. ~OC
Growth Along the Journey
Today’s a new day! The journey God is leading us on may not always be the easiest route, but it is the one where we will experience the most growth. ~OC
A Prayer for Healthcare Workers
Dear Jesus, you are the giver and sustainer of life. Thank you for all the healthcare workers as they start a new week caring for patients. Keep them safe as they walk through the halls of hospitals this week. Dear Jesus, give them wisdom to know how to care for the patients you have placed in front of them. Especially those emergency cases. Dear Jesus, keep their hearts grounded in your truth. Dear Jesus, never let them lose hope on any patient that you have entrusted to their care. Dear Jesus, at the end of the day give them rest. Thank you Jesus. ~OC
Running the Race
This time last year, doctors shared my body was in a Wasting Syndrome and I only had a few months to live. After battling multiple life threatening health issues for 17.5 years, my body was worn out. Then my beautiful creative healing miracle came on November 3, 2019.
At the start of 2020, I set a goal to run 500 miles in 2020. As of this morning, I have 100 to go.
They who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint. ~Isaiah 40:31

Faith
Today’s a new day! The enemy uses storms to destroy your faith. God uses storms to build your faith. ~OC

I’m encouraging families to send care packages.. fresh fruit.. pictures of them and family members to remind them to fight depression .. they need encouragement.. I wish I could spend more time with them…

Will You?
With all the racist and hateful comments being spewed by so many, I hold on to the belief that hate can never win. Love wins when good people stand up against hate.
A question for all of us. Will we stand up against hateful racist comments or will we make excuses for those making the comments? ~OC
